Tues 7 May - Albany

Weather OK, still not cold, but storms forecast.

The roads through the NP from East to West are currently closed due to road upgrades, so we decided to shoot for Albany rather than re-enter the park after going round the North perimeter.  We did however check out Bremer Bay (delightful) and nearly opted to find a spot there for the next couple of nights.  However, Clive and Scott reckoned that his getting his camper trailer stuck in the sand and Clive doing a quick pull out was omen enough for today.  But definitely a spot worth coming back to and exploring further.  Lots of little bays etc.

Lunch on the beach was nice, then we headed for Albany to find a cabin/caravan park spot for tonight to get a shower, do some washing and dinner in town.

Weather is supposed to go downhill tomorrow and next couple of days.  Bureau of Meterology has EXTREME storm, high tide, rain and wind warnings.  Will be glad to be safely out of that.

Found ourselves a great spot at Big 4 in Middleton Beach, a few k’s out of the centre of Albany.

Morning view over the river from our campsite

Running repairs on Showy's trailer bearings

Lunch at Bremer Bay

Got caught when doing a U-turn in the soft stuff.
It was easiest to pull Showy and 2 tonne trailer out rather than
let him waste time getting himself out.
