Made the decision to move on from
Albany, the forecast was passable.
Headed west, first stop the Valley of the
Giants Treetop Walk near Nornalup.
The
sun was out, and we enjoyed the walk through the treetops.
By the time we got to the end, the rain had
started and we made a dash to the cars.

Continued on, planning to stop at Windy Harbour
/ Point D’Entrecasteaux for lunch. By
the time we got to Northcliffe, it was raining hard. Abandoned Windy Harbour
plans. We were starting to re-think our idea
of finding a camp for the next few days in the D’Entrecasteaux Nat Park. After a quick lunch from the back of the car,
we headed for the Pemberton Pub to re-think our options yet again.
Rain stopped.
We decided to take a punt and head into the Park. Heading towards Scott’s usual deadline of 3
pm, we found a good camp spot, deciding not to head over the dunes towards the
beach until tomorrow.

Sunny. Scott's camper in front of us.

Raining. Decision time at Pemberton Pub.

Wet roads, heading into the park.
By the time we’d set up, and just begun trying to set a
fire, the rain hit again. Clive
persisted, and he got a reasonable fire going.
Not good enough or really early enough for cooking though. We cooked on Scott’s camper trailer
hotplates.
The fire persisted through rain showers, but we didn’t
have a late night. Fingers crossed for
better weather tomorrow.
