Sat 4 May - Thomas River, Cape Arid NP

Another nice day, though it rained during the night.  Clive and I retraced my steps of yesterday along the coastal walk trail, but went further past Dolphin Cove through to Little Tagun Beach and return.  Around 2 hours walking in pleasant sunshine.

Showy turned up around 2.30 ish, after leaving Bunbury around 4 am.  We enjoyed an afternoon and evening of good catch up, as well as a good fire with the firewood he brought with him.  Clive had already been in conversation with the Ranger about the fact that he was not even supposed to collect deadwood from the (non-NP) side of the road – it belonged to the shire!

Chatting to the two Rangers whilst they delivered the fire pit (fires only allowed May till Sept), they gave us a heads up on some good spots we hope to hit further North over the next month or so.

Clear skies and again a good view of the stars and the Milky Way.
