Tues 14 & Wed 15 May – Rapids Conservation Park

Good weather has continued.  We moved our base to a good campsite about 25 km NE of Margaret River.

We drove up towards Yallingup and Cape Naturaliste on Tuesday, then on Wed checked out Busselton.  Two very relaxing and pleasant days.

Great campsite.  We were set up by 10 am, due to the short drive from Marg R

Gralyn Estate cab sav grapes

Sampling Gralyn Estate's chocolate port.  (I thought it was awful.  Clive liked the tawny port better.)

And a follow-up chocolate beer in the sunshine at the Old Shack Brewery, Yallingup.  (I wasn't too keen on that either.)

Lunch for two in the sunshine at the Old Shack Brewery.  There was a LOT on that plate, but we enjoyed all of it.

This magpie also thought it looked pretty good.  He kept popping his head up over the table.

Clive finally relented with the left over crackers.

Busselton Jetty, nearly 2 km long

Good walk out on the jetty in the sunshine

This tourist train runs up and down the jetty.  Lots of Japanese tourists on board, and assorted others not wanting the exercise.

Calm night, not as cold as last night.  We had a great fire and game of scrabble.  The broken fire pit grate made a great table.
