Freemantle was somewhat frustrating – without a good map we seemingly drove round in circles (quite a few times) trying to find the pier and the Maritime Museum etc.
Tuesday in Perth the weather was perfect – sunny, light breeze and 20 deg. We explored Kings Park, and then hired bikes on the Swan and spent the afternoon peddling our way around. Very enjoyable. Clive reckoned he hadn’t ridden a bike for nearly 50 years (showing his age)! Topped off the day with Indian for dinner.
Wednesday the weather was again perfect – 21 deg. Not as energetic as yesterday but we enjoyed the Perth Mint, Hay St Mall and then the Northern beaches.

| Gold Museum. These two guys found the first nugget near Coolgardie (then called Flys Flat) which started the WA gold rush. |
| Wish these nuggets were real. |
