Sun 9 June – Crossing Pool, Chichester Millstream NP

Not a bad camping spot, but not ideal, but due to the closure of Snake Creek and the time of the day we arrived yesterday, it's our best choice.  We are continually amazed at how regimented the WA National Park camping arrangements are.  Here we were confronted by pleasant (but rather unnecessary) ‘camp host volunteers’ Flo and Jim, and a small campsite allocation bordered by metal posts every metre or so.

We took the ~ 6k round trip walk to the Millstream Homestead which I found fairly exhausting as it was very hot.  Clive didn’t seem to mind as much.

We returned from our walk to find the corellas had gone berserk and shat all over our tent and car.  Our spot seemed to have copped it the worst. (Clive’s view was they picked the newest car in the camping spot.)  Those damned corellas didn’t shut up all afternoon!

Cooled off in the afternoon with a swim in Crossing Pool.  I was really hot, but still had to be convinced, but it was nice in.

Yes, I was hot.... and this is before the return trip.  Temp in the high 20's I think.
